Monthly Outlook:
This month we are learning about each other and our classroom environment! We take time each day to introduce our weekly letter and theme, sing songs, read books, and become familiar with one another.
Questions to ask your child:
Often times when you ask your child what they did in school, they commonly respond "recess" or "snack." Each month I will provide a few specific questions you could ask about preschool.
How do you sit criss-cross-applesauce?
-The way we sit at circle time to stay on task
What is the talking stick?
-A special stick we hold during circle time. It is a great opportunity to
express our thoughts/ideas and build oral language. The person holding
the stick gets to talk, while the other friends practice listening.
Reminders:
-Book orders are due Thursday, September 20th
(Hands On Preschool does online book orders only)
-Letter pouch is the first school day of each week
-Please review your child's lapbook folder with them when they come home.
